Kandinsky spends the year with Gabriele Münter in Paris, living in Sèvres, near the Parc de Saint-Cloud. In Paris, he encounters the work of Henri Matisse, which makes a powerful impression on him. He produces a series of small landscapes of the Parc de Saint-Cloud. He participates in exhibitions of the group Die Brücke in Dresden.
