Branches of the Museum Ludwig were opened throughout the world, whereby the name of the German confectionery magnate became part of the world history.

In July 1930, they met with Kandinsky, who was teaching in the Bauhaus in Dessau at that time and purchased from him Composition No. 8. This piece started the collection of 150 Kandinsky's paintings which is now part of the Museum’s collection.
Initially, the paintings were displayed in one of the rooms of the Plaza Hotel in New York, where Guggenheim in the 30s rented several apartments. In 1939 he opened The Museum of Non-Objective Painting and, of course, Hilla Rebay became its director and ideological leader. In 1943 the decision was made to build a separate building for the museum, it was supposed to become a "temple of the spirit" and a new space for art work. Famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, master of organic architecture was in charge of this project. After 16 years of overcoming many difficulties in Manhattan, an amazing spiral structure has grown, seriously disturbing both the surrounding landscape and the minds of critics and fans. Unfortunately, both Wright and Guggenheim did not live long enough to see this wonderful day.
Today the Solomon Guggenheim Museum is one of the most important points on the cultural map of New York, it is visited by about a million people a year, and the museum's exhibitions are known all over the world.

A huge building in high-tech style gathered under its roof several existing museums and became a real developmental engine of modern art and a must-see place for any tourist arriving to Paris. Today the Pompidou Center hosts more than 6 million visitors a year and is the second most popular Parisian cultural destination after the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.
The museum collection is one of the three largest collections of Kandinsky in the world (together with the Lenbachhaus Museum in Munich and the Guggenheim Museum in New York) and has more than 100 paintings and 500 graphic works of the artist. Among them there are all known First Abstract Watercolor, 1910, Yellow-Red-Blue, 1925, Composition IX, 1936 and Sky Blue, 1940
Only two works were acquired by the museum in 1937 and in 1939 while the artist was alive. In 1976, artist’s widow Nina Kandinsky presented 15 paintings and 15 watercolors to the new museum. Then, in 1980, several works from the artist's studio in Neuilly were transferred to the museum according to the will. In 1994, a donation was received from gallery owner Karl Flinker, etc. The extensive heritage of the artist is handled by the Kandinsky Society, founded by Nina Kandinsky in 1979.
Center Pompidou also has a Biblioth?que Kandinsky - a documentary research center specializing in everything that is written, recorded and filmed about 20th and 21st century’s art: books, magazines, archives, photographs and audio-visual aids.

Basel. Beyeler FoundationThe Beyeler Foundation and Museum owes its emergence to a family couple of collectors, Ernst and Hildy Beyeler. The Foundation was established in 1982, and the Museum – in 1997. The idea was conceived in 1952 when the couple renamed their antiquarian bookshop as "Galerie Beyeler" and embarked on the art business journey. Hildy was in charge of local management, while Ernst was extensively traveling around the countries and auctions, working to expand the collection. In 1989 it was completed and exhibited in Centro de Arte Reina Sof?a in Madrid, where it earned international acclaim. Presently the Beyeler collection comprises over 350 masterpieces of world famous painters. The museum’s ultramodern building custom-designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano is organically integrated into a picturesque park in Riehen, a town at the outskirts of Basel.

Amsterdam. Stedelijk Museum Stedelijk or "City Museum" was founded in Amsterdam in 1895 as a museum of the city’s history. The museum building was built in the neo-Renaissance style. There were exhibited furniture, coins, jewelry, weapons and everyday objects and interiors of old Amsterdam houses there. In 1920-1940s some of the museum was transferred to the other museum institutions. The collection of modern Dutch and French art was created at the same time. Since 1930 the museum has an extensive collection of works Vincent van Gogh, who moved to its own building nearby in 1972. Only at the beginning of the 1970s the museum left the last items of historical living conditions and it began to speak in a new way - as the first museum of the Modern Art in Amsterdam.
Stedelijk has a rich collection. In particular there is stored a unique collection of 29 paintings by Kazimir Malevich. There are perfectly presented all practically known areas of the modern art: Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet,Pierre Renoir, Paul Cezanne, Wassily Kandinsky, Marc Chagall, Piet Mondrian.
