Charlotte from Edinbrugh: This glass painting is commonly stated as being the inspiration behind 'Untitled Watercolor' (1910). And that canvas was hailed as being his first fully abstract work, which was also a first for the art world. As Herb Babcock stated, 'At the time of one of the greatest breakthroughs in modern art, glass played a part'.
